In this presentation, you’ll learn how to install and run SQL Server® Integration Services (SSIS) on SQL Server® 2017 for Linux®. First, you’ll hear about some of the features and limitations of SSIS on Linux. Then you’ll learn how to develop and run SSIS packages on SQL Server for Linux using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and dtexec.

Tools for SQL Server on Linux

To manage SQL Server® 2017 on Linux®, you need to use a combination of Windows®-based tools, native Linux tools, and some cross-platform tools. In this presentation, you’ll learn about the different tools you can use to work with SQL Server 2017 on Linux. Some of the tools covered include:

  • SQL Server Manage Studio (SSMS)
  • SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT)
